I'm not really a postcard collector but fellow board member, Paul Holstein, picked these up recently and asked me to try to post them in the recent pickup thread for him. What better time to show us your postcards? Please, please make them about 50%-75% of size....real big scans may be resized..btw, most folks issue in posting pics is the size limit...which is 128k, and the smaller the better..regards

May be more like a 1930 or 1931. This one has Grove, Gehrig, Cochrane and Donahue.

1907 or 1908, w/Lajoie, Joss, etc.

Any info on this one is appreciated -- I've seen three, all cut the same way. This one is postmarked 1908.

Of course, here's a link to a bunch of player, stadium and real photo postcards from several collectors (needing an update thanks to info and scans emailed in from various board members):

Finally a topic I can add some interesting informatiom and pics. All the following are currently in my collection. I have over 100 baseball postcards, mostly turn of the century. Major league teams, Obscure teams, company, minor league and local league teams. My most prized is the 1907 Detroit Tigers, the Matty Giants and the over sized 1906 White Sox political ad postcard all pictured below. Leon, thanks for the giving me the chance to share these.

Someone wrote "Christ School 1911" on the back. Other than that, I don't know anything else about this postcard:

Cool Papa Bell is 1 of the players in front of this Sweetwater Hotel. The players stayed here.

Richard, Great Cubby postcard. I see it was copywritten by If I read it correct Theo. M Wagner??/ My White Sox is copy written by Fred H. Wagner. Was it a brothers photography studio or am I just misreading your post card and it says Fred H. on it.

edited for typos

Here's a few from my collection. I think the Nebraska State League postcard with the crowd in the grandstands in the background is my favorite....Anyone who's seen Ken Burns Baseball documentary might recognize the Prout's Best postcard as it is shown in one of the early episodes. The Federal League card was a steal at the local antique show last year for $15.

Brett,

I got the Lincoln Publishing Waddell in an SCD auction, probably a little over a year ago. The name of the seller escapes me at this moment, but it is one of SCD's regular advertisers who runs fairly small auctions every week or every month.

Integrated team with Negro star George Wilson (replete with a, sign-of-the-times, disparaging remark by the original postcard owner). Wilson made the long list for consideration this year in the Hall of Fame.
