Default Desert Shield - 1st Legitimate Variation

This is the first legitimate DS variation that I have seen. Note, there is no "40th Anniversary" logo on the back and a yellow shade has been added to the interior of the box on back. The card was printed on sheet "F" and was obtained from someone that brought this back from overseas.

I did not think any variations existed.

Nice card I collect print errors also. It is missing the "40th Anniversary" because of the light red ink on the back. I have seen several regular 91 Topps the same way.

I don't think I'd consider it a "legit variation". As in something that was either an error and/or corrected. Simple print error. Still, as a rookie collector, this would be high on my want list as a variation though. Great find..

Default Print defect

I agree it is a print defect, but so are the 58 Herrer, the 57 Bakep and the 61 Fairly

Default DS Variations

I suspect that is all we will see with the DS set...print errors, not corrected stat variations. Kind of neat to see though.
