Default 1960 Topps Baseball Card Trimmed question.

I bought a 1960 Topps Smokey Burgess online and when I received it the card looked a little smaller than the rest of the 1960 Topps cards I purchased in the same order. 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 is the standard measurements for cards in the set. I measured the Burgess and it was about 1/16th less on both measurements, very clean looking card. My question is, is there a "margin or error" on the 1960 card measurements since quality control was not the greatest back then? Can they be off by that little on both measurements? I ordered 10 other 60 Topps and they all were the standard measurement. Not a big deal but just curious if anyone has some input on this? Thanks

Default 1/16 off?

To see if they can be that off on measurements, I just took a stack of 50-60 very original, raw ones....in around vg+/- condition. There isn't that big of a difference on any of them. Hope that answers your question. Other than that maybe there are 1960 Topps experts that know differently. I have a few hundred more I can put next to each other if need be.

ps..Just for grins I took another 50 or so out, put them on my desk and only had one that came up different. So if you have one that looks like this, I wouldn't worry (it's too large anyway). Otherwise, I might. `
