Pretty interesting read, with a mention of sports collectibles.

"Just remember to click on the banner ads, Jim."

OK. Except if they ever run that one with the snowplow again! (Ran last winter.) The whole page was frozen while that little guy made a couple of passes across the top of the page. Seemed like it took forever to load. On general principles I used to log off whenever I got that one. Don't even remember what it was for.

I haven't seen too many desperate sellers in our end of the market. We're holding up pretty well.

"While experts generally agree that demand remains high and prices good for very rare and top-of-the-line items, the market for lower-quality collectibles is down sharply."

"But for collectors who are still financially stable, the recession offers a very good buying opportunity"

Yeah, as anyone who collects anything already knows. How do I get paid for writing obvious stuff like this? Wait, I can see it now: newsflash! Generalissimo Frsncisco Franco is still dead!

I don't see any evidence of desperate sellers in the sports collectibles arena either.

But maybe now I can finally get that vintage pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster for less than $100K...
