Default Jeff Morey Signed Baseball Card Sale (May 18, 2001)

I recently picked up the May 18, 2001 Mike Gutierrez catalog online. I was targeting it because this is where the vast majority of Jeff Morey's collection was auctioned. Just flipping through the catalog was amazing. I wonder whether anyone here happens to own any of the signed cardboard marvels described here.

I've added a few clips below. Anybody here bid in this auction just over 15 years ago?

I shudder to think what I was spending my money on in 2001 instead of items from this collection. Egad!!!

Although that signed "T206 Ty Cobb" is...Well...Interesting. not sure I have ever seen one that looks quite like it!!

The irony is that he had a signed T206 Green Cobb in his collection that was sold about this time in a different Mastronet catalog.

The trick is to figure out which of today's sales will look like this in 15 years from now!

Do you know what prices they went for? I didn't start buying until a year later. I'd guess lutherlafy in OK has some of them but not sure

I only collected some of the sales data when the Mastro/Legendary archive feature was still open.

Lot 92: Rare Ty Cobb Signed [E90-1 American Caramel Card] $1,888.00
Lot 93: Rare Eddie Cicotte Signed T-205 $2,426.00
Lot 95: Rare Larry Lajoie Signed T-206 $1,149.00
Lot 97: Lot of (32) Signed Early Tobacco and Candy Card Collection $6.070.00
Lot 105: Lot of (15) Signed 1950- 1955 B.E. Callahan Hall of Fame Card Collection $3,808.00

Amazing that the Cobb and Lajoie sold so low compared to the T205 Cicotte. The Cicotte may not be much higher today, but the Cobb and Lajoie would surely be way way higher...
