Default New Obak record!

I love Obak cards. The price for this one is a little left of center. Granted the front is a beauty. Are they that hot now?

I didn't understand that one. The image looks like it was brightened with photoshop, and there is paper loss and stamps.

Perhaps others have an explanation.

Obaks have been strong the last 9 months or so, but this auction is a bit strange. I'd have guessed that card was $25-30 but on ebay all it takes is two people...

Check-out the winner of this card. There were 15 bids,
most of them by the guy who one this card. And, he has
not purchased a BB card previously. Instead he has won
non-related items from Ebay sellers in foreign countries.

I wouldd say this is a very strange event, and should be
seen as a precedent setting standard for pricing OBAK's.

Might we have had Mr. Metzger bidding against Mr. Metzger? That may be the only logical explanation.

Perhaps appropriatetly enough, "Metzger" means "butcher" in German.

That's a $25 card with that back damage. Photo shop lightened and brightened the front. SGC 20 at the most, probably an SGC 10.

Just to put things in perspective I picked this up today on E-Bay for four dollars more than the Obak.

Response from seller when questioned if he had several of these cards to be put up for auction?:

"mickeysccc is the seller. I only have this one...the bidder (ddelayy) claimed someone played a prank on him by placing bids....he refused to pay....he left me positive feedbqck because I didn't file a claim against him."
