How many of the previous sales were certified high end?

But yea double the recent average does seem a little on the high side, even considering the card was dead centered.

Peter - Are you just researching the T206 prices? Or does that average include any other issues?

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic, and that was a list of other recent sales of the same card, 53 Topps Mantle PSA 8.

Yeah, some have some help. Maybe even this one.

But if you don't think it's irrational to pay 70 percent over the world record for a card that comes up frequently enough, then so be it.

It actually was the same card that sold 2 1/2 months prior for 25k.

Yea that doesn't look good Peter. But someone sure came up on this one, shilled or not.
