Default Detroit Wolverines Postcard set Crawford

Posted By: joe

Ok, trying to find out if this is rare or not, I have 18 of these cards, missing the Cobb Portrait right fielder and the Jennings manager. SCD lists 20 cards, Old Cardboard lists 20 cards, but indicates with an asterisk the Crawford center field does not exist. I have both Crawfords and sent scans to Lyman and he is going to update his checklist. My question, do other collectors have the Crawford center field, not him bunting? Also, who has a complete set out there?

Thanks joe

Hey Joe,

I have never seen that pose in the field. I just have the Bunting one. I thought this series was 1908, when did the book change on it? Here is a link to see what I have for this series..

So, I guess no one has a complete set, on the board anyway?

Everything I read is 1907. Here are scans of both Crawford cards.
Note: Has anyone seen or have the Jennings Manager, probably a portrait card?

I only have three. Cobb batting, Crawford bunting, & Jones. Never seen that Crawford portrait before. He looks grumpy!
