Default Help with Photo

Dear Board;

I found this photo recently in an antique market of a New York Highlander player. Does anybody know who this player is? Any help would be great. A ballpark of value would be great too I don’t collect photos that much.

It appears to be a New York Giants road uniform from 1901.

I don't know who is the player.

The cliched but correct phrase is, "It's worth what you can get someone to pay for it." Having said that, any turn of the century cabinet photo depicting a Major League player in uniform is rare. If the photo has good eye appeal should be worth at bare minimum $100.

The mount on your photograph obviously has heavy damage, but the player image is sharp. It appears to be a fine photograph to have found at an antique store.

I have yet to buy the photo the dealer is asking $380 which seems a bit high. I thought I would check here before I purchased. Does that sound like a fair price?

I wouldn't pay $380, but that's just me.

Price is too high. Even if the player is ID'd, it's too high. They only decent player on the 1901 Giants was Matty, and that obviously isn't him.

a ML cabinet like that in really nice shape at like $500-$700 for a 'common' guy but in that condition, I'd be hardpressed to pay more than $150 to $200.
