Default Received My 1955 Clemente Back From PSA

I thought I would share my Clemente RC I recently got back from PSA. It was one of a few cards my Uncle had given to me before he passed. A bonus is knowing that he pulled it from the pack himself when he was a teenager.

Any thoughts on what the half grade does for the value as compared to a PSA 6?

it certainly adds some value. people are finally starting to wake up and pay on eye appeal vs categorized prices due to grades these days.

your's has very good eye appeal. not dead centered, but in the 30% upper echelon.

good stuff.

if ya sell her, lemme know...

Normally a half grade is worth about 1/3 the difference between the two grades from what I've seen. If the half grade is the highest graded, it might be worth a full grade on a hotly contested registry set.
But with high-rent cards like this one, it could put it closer to 7 if the eye appeal merits it. Great card and nice story!

Congrats on the 6.5. It definitely adds some value but based on VCP it is much closer to the value of a PSA 6 than it is to a PSA 7. A nice looking card regardless of the grade.

With the centering I am surprised frankly it got the half grade, but still obviously a very clean and nice card.

Very nice looking Clemente! Knowing the personal story of the card is worth more than the half grade in my opinion but I'm sentimental that way.

Welcome to the forum, TDub. That's a really nice card, and, knowing it came from your Uncle makes it all the more special. Hang on to it!

/wipes the drool off of T-Dub's '51 Bowman Teddy Ballgame.

One of my very favorite cards of the Splendid Splinter. And yours has some beautiful centering, just slightly top heavy, and to the left.

That card, in particular, makes me smile. I can't wait to pick one up. That will be one of my first buys when I begin purchasing again end of May.

According to VCP, the half point grade doesn't amount to much difference, but I think it would. You have one of the hottest cards out there.
