This was autographed by the Mick at the National in the mid 80s. I am afraid to clean the glove too much, autograph a little hard to read due to the dark leather, but I am glad I still had him sign this old glove that I picked up at garage sale for $5.

I posted a couple negatives I picked up of Mick's last at bat over on the April Vintage Pick Ups list. I didn't see this thread until after I posted them. Rather than have two conversations going on I will defer to that thread.

I didn't know Jimmy, but I like the idea of bumping some of his past threads in his honor. Good call Ben.

The 1947 Whiz Kids, featuring a 16-year-old Mickey Mantle on his first pro team (semi-pro). This is an original photo that was given to the players. It was owned by Guy Crow, the batboy, who is sitting on the left end of the right bench. There are a few signatures in addition to Mantle's, but they are hard to make out.

Looks like a real Mantle to me

Default Mickey Mantle Robert Riger Litho

Mickey Mantle autographed Litho of a Robert Riger drawing the appeared in the March 4,1957 Issue of Sports Illustrated.
In many people's opinion - if graded - the autographed would be a definite 10.

Wonder how many of these made their way to under the tree back in the day.
