Ruth, Gherig, Dean, Dean, and Pepper Martin signed ball...
Posted By: Jordan Chapell
Hello, I am as new as they come to this...my fiance's family has a Babe Ruth Home Run Special, blue and red stitching, with autographs by Babe (a signature in addition to his stamped name), Lou Gehrig, Dizzy Dean, Paul Dean, and Pepper Martin. I have been trying to research what year could have had all of these guys sign it, and I can only figure 1934 - but cannot find anytime they would all be together. Everyone except Paul Dean was in the 1934 All-Star game, so that could be it. Anyways, I would love to hear anyone's thoughts one when this could be from, and how much it might be worth. The ball is in fabulous condition, and I would rate the signatures all between 6-8, except Gehrig's which is slightly more faded. Thanks! |

Why would anyone want to mess up a perfectly good Pepper Martin autographed baseball by letting some fat slob from the Yankees sign it? |
