Default My nephew and his new Jackie Robinson card

I would like to thank everyone who helped me out during this process. When I first came to this forum I was looking for a Jackie a robinson card for my nephew for his birthday and I had no idea what to look for when buying a card. Everyone was so nice and helpful and it was greatly appreciated. I would especially like to thank Kailes2872 and MattyC for their help. Also, a BIG BIG BIG thank you to BigfanNY for making this all possible. The card is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Here are a couple of pics from him opening it. It made his year and he couldn't stop holding it and looking at it. Thank you guys soooooo much.

Good job on a great first vintage card. Very nice. That's the same look I get when I receive a card off my want list. Congrats!

This is really great.
What got him into vintage cards?
Will you bust it out so he can touch it?
This reminds me of seeing my 56 Mickey for the first time May 11, 1986!

He just got into collecting recently and a couple of months ago he said how he would love a jackie robinson card. That's what started my search. He can do what he wants with it but it will never leave that case! Haha...
We went out to dinner after I gave him the card and he couldn't put it down. He was so into it.

I probably saw that card for the first time in grade school, in "The Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading and Bubblegum Book". I believe the card shared a page with a 63 Clemente and the rest of the page was just a black background which made the cards pop. No description was needed for that pair. I needed one ever since seeing the photo and finally landed one after I became an adult, when I had more disposable income to spare.

In fact, I have obtained a good number of those cards from that book and even have tried to find signed copies of many. Something about that book!

Nice story on the kid and his jackie too. Good Uncle.
