Arrow Recent vintage set sales.

So I understand that many people view ebay as the current market value.
That said, how does a collector/seller know how to get the fair market value if they want to sell their complete sets. I saw that someone said you can check ebay sold? I am not good at doing such things.
Any input is appreciated.

I'm not the greatest at it but when you log into EBay, type what you're trying to find in the heading at the top and hit enter. On the left side, scroll way down until you see "sold items", click on that box and "Completed items" will also populate. All recently sold item will now appear where the listings normally appear.
Hope this helps.

You have to be careful when looking at the Ebay for sale and sold listings especially on sets. When I sell a set I look at the for sale and sold listings, but it's more complicated than that. I would say that half the people have their cards graded wrong in their ad and you're competing against them and I am not including Dean's Cards in that number. Someone on here said that when you see a set offered by Dean Cards, divide it in half and it's close to market value.

I do sell on Ebay and look over all the sets that I feel I may compete against before I list it and if there are not any or not that many sets to compare mine to or its really expensive, I go to the sold section and look them over. If I have the availability, I list most of them close to the value and then let them make offers to me on that price.

I have not sold many old sets on Ebay, but the few that I did, was well worth it for me. I wish you luck.

I suggest augmenting Ebay results with some recently concluded auctions from REA, Heritage etc. They usually provide clear photos that allow you to compare the key cards' condition with those in your sets.

I always assume at least one of not two grades down from eBay set descriptions gives you the true picture. Kinda like old school dealer grading before slabs existed.
