Default E98 Young SGC 80 EBAY

Somebody posted the question about people's thought on this auction. I was curious to see the responses. I feel it sold a little low b/c of the listing set to end 2 days before Christmas. I felt it would have gone for 12-14K.

Your thoughts?

I think the seller had a high BIN on it. I forgot how much it was, something like $12,000 or so was it ?

Maybe it was all the annoying hype that cheapened the card.

I never saw the BIN price...was a bit over hyped especially b/c he never mentioned the PSA 8's out there, there are 2....but I figured under 10K was a good deal on the card....it is hard to come by

So you do you think it went for a good price, high, or low?

Bob,

The Dorksind Group could never pay that much for any card. Heard too many first hand stories from repsected hobbyists about the "Group" not being able to step up. They seem to prey on the easy mark and unsuspecting sellers, of which there are much fewer. That is why America's Toughest Wantlist has not gotten smaller in the past couple of years.

Merry Christmas,

Greg

My eyes hurt after reading that auction description.

My favorite part about the whole thing was when he cheapened the accolades of Mordecai Brown (Who is Brown anyways!) and is trying to sell a card depicting an average (at best) ballplayer Irv Young. I know the company intended the card to be Cy, but it is still funny.
