Default HOF caramels remain hot

Posted By: Bob

I was hoping the prices for E94 HOFs had peaked, at least for a while, from a collector-buyer standpoint but noted that the E94 gold Wagner in PSA 1 (admittedly a nice 1) went for over 2k on ebay. Not sure if the price escalated because it is a Wagner and Wagners seem to be hot right now also, but was anyone else surprised at this price?
Makes me glad I was able to buy a few different color variations about 3 years ago before prices really started to climb. Wonder what SGC 40s and 50s in the Wagner E94 would sell for now? I believe BcD had an orange variation of the Wagner in a very high grade (an 80?) I bet that would bring a ton now if you still have it Brian...

Hey Bob,

Very nice for a 1.

Great card, but a mangled red wagner in a psa 1 holder would still go under 1k.

I was the underbidder - I didnt think anyone would come close to my bid, but expected it to end around 1800-1900 because it appears to be undergraded. I would not be surprised to see that card with a higher grade in the future.

I am not surprised by the price, and it would have been higher if I had not forgotten to bid.

It is an incredible looking 1.

I was watching this Cobb last week. An E95 SGC 10 for $910.00. I figured it was going to go somewhere around $500 but I guess I have lost touch with the prices.

Last December, I picked up a raw Cobb for about $600 that ended up grading to an SGC 30. Guess I got a good deal on it now!

Not surprised here. Wish I had the cash to buy it. I would have gone higher. It was a real nice looking 1. No paper loss

There is a touch of paper loss on that card below wagner's elbow on the right side of the card (you can see it in the better of the two front scans if you maximize the picture). I just wish I had bid a bit higher.

Let me see... It would be a tuff choice between nearly 140 of these Wagners or 1 Mantle PSA 9... hmmmmmmnnnn.

This is a very nice psa 1 prob. should be regraded. Plus the rarity of E94 should not be underestimated. Coulda went for more...

Brian- That orange E94 you sold me was in retrospect one of the best buys I have ever made.
