Default Frankie Frisch Memorabilia

Posted By: BlackSoxFan

Hello boys and girls -
I am thinking a frankie frisch single signed ball would be a) difficult and b) expensive (think 5 figures). Is that reasonable? In addition, are there any particular pieces of memorabilia that might be special for a Frisch collector?

Thanks

Regards,

Black Sox Fan

I'm sure that, given time, I could dig one up for you for, say, $9999.99. happy.gif

Frisch singles are certainly something you don't see every day, but you shouldn't pay more than $2K for an above-average example. A pristine sphere doesn't come along very often and may set you back a little more. Like his old teammate Diz, balls signed in the 1970's are usually of the unofficial variety. In his later days, Frankie seemed to favor a felt tip marker to sign singles, which is never a good thing. Thankfully, he was big on hitting the sweet spot towards the end.

Don't know about baseballs, but Frisch signed index cards, trading cards and such are very affordable.

Thanks Jodi! That's great information. Totally out of my area so i'm glad we didn't pull the trigger.

David - good thinking as well.
