Default Mike Tyson Autographed Glove

Maybe someone can help with this question: What is the going retail selling price of a Mike Tyson autographed Everlast boxing glove. Strong signature with a black sharpie. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.

Thanks for your help.

Right now, maybe $250, tops. But the price will drop after Tyson's appearance at the International Boxing Hall of Fame induction weekend (June 9-12). He'll be signing hundreds of gloves and other items, so the market will be flooded.

When you see autographed Everlast boxing gloves are they "real" gloves that a boxer would use in a fight or are they reporductions or gloves of lesser quality? Does that affect the value?

Thanks.

A pair of Everlast gloves are $25-$50. Unless it is proven the gloves are fight used, assume they are just store bought for signing.

I dont know the value of Mike's auto, but I think his auto would be worth more on a fight program (or something similar), than a pair of store bought gloves.

A friend of mine bought JSA certified Tyson gloves (one signed) for $155. I think the issue here is that there are a ton of Tyson forgeries out there and his signature is in no way rare.

I do worry about the all of the forgeries out their. But I don'r know what else to do other than by from PSA/DNA, JSA, or one of the other trusted authenticators.

It does seem like he has a lot of variation as to how he signs his name. I like autographs, but i always worry about them being real...even when authenticated by JSA, PSA, etc.

Maybe I should just stick to vintage graded cards.....

It is a minefield, that's for sure. Here are two Lennox Lewis sigs that are both 100% genuine (I got the card; a friend got the ticket):

With that degree of variation I can understand how genuine stuff could be mistaken for fake and vice versa. I am probably going to go with an insert card to get a genuine Tyson autograph since he seems to sign for pay whenever a card co asks.

I'm not sure he's going to be that prolific a signer at the IBHOF. I was talking with a friend who has been going for years and he says that the HOF is getting more and more stringent and security conscious about the big name fighters and that it has become harder and harder to get to them for signatures, even at the 'vip' events. I asked him to take a few cards for me (one card for each inductee) just in case and he didn't even want to try, and we've been helping each other out with autographs for years at boxing events.
