Default Babe Ruth Trivia w/ a prize

The prize: A 5-card Metallic Impressions set featuring the original Hall of Fame Class (Ruth, Cobb, Wagner, Johnson & Mathewson)

The Question: It is well-known that Babe Ruth hit the first HR in Yankee Stadium history. Who was the pitcher that he hit the HR off of?

Nope. It was Howard Ehmke. (He hit his first ML HR off Warhop.)

I will admit that I consulted my good friend, Google, for the answer. But it was still kind of hard to find it, I had to do a few different searches and dug around till I found it.

Date of the game was April 18, 1823. In addition to the first HR in yankee stadium (a 3-run blast which Ruth hit in the 3rd inning), the Babe also had the first error - a dropped fly ball in the 5th inning. (edit: billyb, you beat me to it, lol...)

Jamie Moyer's first strikeout was against Moses. Noah hit the first homer against Moyer.

Date of the game was April 18, 1823.

No wonder they tore down Yankee Stadium & built a new one!
