Default Reholder Question PSA

If you submitted a 15K Psa card with an old scratched up slab, how much would they charge approximately to reholder it? Would they honor the original grade or would the card be regraded and possibly down-graded? Would they give it a new flip/label and would that label use the original certification #? Thanks in advance if anyone knows about these issues.

Hopefully this helps.

https://www.psacard.com/services/tra...ading/reholder

and

https://www.psacard.com/pricing

Scroll down to “Card Reholder Pricing”.

For a card with that declared value, it would run $50.

HOWEVER, it does not appear that PSA has resumed this service yet.

Check their current status in the second link under “Complete Through Dates”.

In summary:

The card is not regraded…they just verify the card is authentic and the current holder has not been tampered with. If all is good, the card is reslabbed with the current flip and existing grade.

Default Thanks

Thanks, that's very helpful. Can anyone else confirm this service is not available now? I started a submission and it let me get pretty far , so maybe it is ? Also, wondering if it would take several months or even a year to get back which I don't want..... Thanks , Pat

Anytime! I’m also looking to reholder a card (the flip is only 2-3 iterations old, but is very wrinkled). Would be nice to confirm the status of the service, but it looks like they are about 9 months behind now. Also don’t want to wait the better part of a year to get it back.

I would expect reholders, especially at a high service level, to go through pretty quick.
There is some tiny chance of downgrade, but if they do either due to it being drastically different that current grading interpretations or due to damage while cracking or reslabbing, they should reimburse you the difference under their grade guarantee.
