for the back of T206 cards. Does anyone know if they are going back to find out what is on the back of each card or will they start from scratch and list population per the new policy date? Thanks.

They'd almost certainly have to start from scratch.

Given the number of label errors and the amount of cracking and resubmitting/crossing that goes on, I think the pop reports have become less and less worthwhile. I guess they still have some utility in showing the distribution of grading, but as far as true population goes, I wouldn't put much faith in them.

It was published on another message board they were going to offer a low cost reslabbing of cards with the new label to include the back - which of course would then allow the backs to be gathered in the population report.

I just entered my first 'back labeled' T206 in my Registry set on PSA and both the 'Pop' and 'Pop higher' numbers came up blank. I guess they have not figured how to mix these into their Pop report databases yet.

I have an email in right now with PSA to try and get some definitive answers on some of the questions relating to this transition. Stay tuned.

And reslabbing would allow them to make more money on an already slabbed card. You guys need to line up to take advantage of that opportunity.

And be looking for them to add the series to the report one day, for another round of slabbing.

Then, in a few more years, when the slabbing business wanes, they need to add factory number to their valuable report, so there can be a third round of reslabbing... what a great deal! Quadrislabbing!!!

The suggestion that could be made, IMO, why wouldn't PSA say for every card you return to be reslabbed with the backs labeled, they should give you $3 discount off the grading of other cards....in other words, the $13 special for cards valued under $500, you'd get for $10 per each T206 you have reslabbed.....would be a win win for everyone.

I'd expect them to off to relabel those for $5, I think that was the price for '52 Red/Black backs. Still, if you have a common back why even bother? I could only see an argument for doing it if it was a Drum, Uzit, EPDG, etc.
