Default Pre-War (?) Cubs & White Sox Rooter Pins

Can anyone give me any information regarding these 2 Novelty Bat Pins?

The ribbons are silk. The bats are ~3 ˝” long. Besides the words “Cubs or White Sox Rooter”, the words “Pat Apld For” are also written on the back. I suspect pre-War, based on the Cubs logo, but…

The Cubs ribbon is barely (no pun intended!) still attached to the bat, but can be re-glued.

I posted this in the Memorabilia Section, but I thought that it would be appropriate here, too. (Leon - if I did bad, feel free to remove this.)

I would like to sell them here, but I am uncertain as to their value…

If you have any info regarding them, please share it. If you would like to make me offer on them, please PM me. I may not respond to PMs immediately as I would like to give people enough time to respond, if interested, but I DO INTEND TO SELL THEM and I will contact anyone who was interested enough to make me an offer on them.

(Assuming the new owner is OK with it, I will post the Selling Price here eventually.)

Much obliged!

Greg I have seen these pins in Mears auction the past few years they have both of them as one lot. Check out there past auctions to see on there website. One auction back in 2011 they sold for $35 for both of them and that was even including the buyer's premium so I would guess $25 for both of them in that auction and a couple of the other auctions looks like the same pins were in them even with a box and went to about $88. It looked like those pins were in better condition actually than the ones you have. I would be interested in the White Sox one depending on your price if you decide to sell thanks Keith
