Default eBay refund question

Just curious how long you wait for a card to be delivered before assuming it is lost and requesting a refund. I am talking about a relatively small purchase (less than $25) with no tracking provided. I am in this situation now as a buyer. I have purchased MANY items from this seller in the past w/o a hitch so I have no doubts it was mailed when indicated.

2 weeks is a reasonable amount of time. More than that and I assume it's gone.

Slightly different situation, since it had tracking, but I recently bought a baseball related Christmas ornament and saw that after 15 days, it hadn't moved from the post office during the last five days. I contacted the seller, they contacted the PO and they had no answer. The seller said they would send a new one(they had 10+ of the same thing and it was a low-priced item). After not getting the second one for two weeks, I contact Ebay, they asked the seller for tracking on the second item and when they couldn't provide it, I got my refund. Only the second time I had to do that in 15 years on the Bay.

Basically, each time I waited two weeks(15 days the first time because I bought it on a Sunday)

USPS nowadays I would probably wait 3 weeks (as long as there is that much time to be given)...only based on my own experiences. Two weeks would normally be enough but I don't think so nowadays....

Where it's a seller you trust and have had good luck with in the past, give it 3 weeks. Hopefully it shows up.
At my work we ship 50+ USPS packages daily, and it's surprising how many get caught up in the system somewhere and disappear for a few weeks, yet still get delivered.
