Default Mantle hits the facade at Yankee Stadium - Ticket and Scorecard

I've had the pleasure of owning this Pop 1 ticket for about a year now.
After several months away from the hobby I just happened to find the matching piece...
The program-scorecard in what was a totally random find.
The game had approximately 9,000-10,000 in attendance. So I thought owning the matching scorecard one day was a far stretch. Luck happens sometimes.

Just wanted to share one of my favorite Mickey Mantle collectibles.

From May 22, 1963. Many articles found online. Mentioned in several Mantle documentaries. A mythical Home Run. Arguably one of Mantle's most famous Home Runs.
Even Mickey himself felt it was a pretty cool hit:

I like it. Must have been fun finding that one. Hopefully you knew what you were looking at and got it for cheap. Nice Mantle item

This was my first live baseball game. I was
seven years old. Wish I had kept the ticket.

It was in the 11th inning I think. I remember
that my uncle almost made us leave early.

The possiblity of finding the scorecard was always in the back of my mind.
In that way I was lucky. However getting it for a bargain is never in the cards for me.

Thanks for the comments.

What a gem of a game to attend. From my understanding the attendance was pretty low 10,000 or so. Probably a quiet Wednesday night ending with a thunderstruck ball. Do you recall the hit?

The scorecard shows 11th drawn in at the top, ending at Mantle's spot with a "=" mark.

I remember that we only stayed because we wanted
to see Mickey get up again. I remember people talking
about it but I really don't remember seeing the flight
of the ball. It was hit so hard and got there so fast.
There were a lot of wows. There couldn't have been more
than a few thousand fans by the end of the game.

incredible pairing! I feel like my dad claims to have been at the game where mantle hit the facade ...i guess if he is right it could have been 1 of 2 occasions.

These are really great. If you really want to add to this impressive collection, may I suggest locating a New York newspaper with details about this game. I remember reading about the home run in a magazine shortly after it happened. Maybe it was Sport, not sure. I do remember it had a photo of Yankee Stadium showing the tragectory of the homer. That would also be a nice addition. You already have the two tough pieces. The Mick was my idol as a boy.
