**Lot has sold, thanks!

1951 Bowman Carl Erskine PSA 6 Card #260 SOLD
1954 Topps Ted Williams PSA 3 Card #1
1955 Topps Roberto Cemente PSA 4 Card #164 SOLD
1958 Topps Ted Williams PSA 4 Card #1
1958 Topps Hank Aaron (white name) PSA 6 Card #30
1959 Topps Hank Aaron All Star PSA 5 Card #561
1959 Topps Bill Mazeroski All Star PSA 8 Card #555
1959 Topps Early Wynn PSA 8 Card #260
1959 Topps Wille Mays PSA 5 Card #50
1960 Topps Carl Yastrzemski PSA 5 Card #148
1961 Topps Mantle Blasts PSA 5 Card #406
1962 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 5 Card #200
1966 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 4 Card #50

I'm happy to send scans as requested. The only card that I think is overgraded is the 58 Williams - looks more like a 3 to me.

I did ask my radiation doc this morning about the 60 minutes show. The tumors are different and it was a Phase 1 trial which he explained was a very early trial and only had 22 patients.

Also on the PM front I'm started to run behind on answering them but I'll make sure to get caught up when I can!

Rich - I don't know you at all but saw your post.
Nine years ago I had a huge kidney cancer tumor removed, the tumor weighed 10 lbs. and was as big as a football, no exaggeration.
I am still around. No sign of recurrence of kidney cancer.
My surgeon who supervises my recovery had told me that he never expected to see me around this long.
A year ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, totally unrelated to my kidney cancer. My kidney cancer surgeon caught it.
I am still around with no sign of recurrence and apparently my body is totally clear of any signs of thyroid cancer.
It is difficult but keeping a positive outlook can only help you.
Stay strong, lean on your family, let them be there for you.
I also strongly suggest that if you have a Cancer Care location that you can get to, then you should use that organization. I was in group sessions when I had my kidney cancer and one on one sessions when I had my thyroid cancer. There is no charge for anything they do for you. If you need financial assistance they will help also. Fortunately I have great insurance and did not need financial aid but it is there if you need it.
Stay strong, stay tough.

Tact, Sean, is not your strong suite; totally classless (for a variety of reasons).

I am trying to think of a douchier thing I've read on n54 over the past 10-years, and I honestly can't. So, at least you have that going for you.

Aaron, I admit my choice of words was poor. I would hope that Rich would know that I didn't mean any negativity behind what I said.

I read Sean's original post, and thought it was in poor taste. Then I thought for a second and realized a couple of things. If Rich is pleased with the price Sean gave him, then that's great because it immediately solves a concern he had. Also I think, and I really do believe this, that Sean simply meant to say thank you publicly for the opportunity to purchase in the context. This thread has had so much goodwill, so I just want to see that continue.

I wish I could have said it like this. It was a quick post on my phone and it meant I was happy to have helped and thank Rich - nothing more.

Situations like this are extremely difficult. I'm sure Rich's condition is raising the sensitivity level, but let's not pretend that this, like any other chat site, is not rife with misinterpretations, bad phrasing, and occasionally, bad manners. Looks as if Sean1125 messed up and apologized. Hopefully, everyone takes a deep breath and a step back before continuing to post.

On to the MOST IMPORTANT issue: good luck Rich. I haven't been a member very long and I don't comment much on the boards, but keep fighting. Never concede. I wish you the best of luck and health in the coming weeks and months and, hopefully, years.

Rich, best wishes for you as well as your wife & daughter. I really hope you try to beat it and win as other posters have done.

I myself had 2 spots melanoma cancer removed from my back 2 years ago. I think both were found early enough and I appear to be cancer free at this point. I can not imagine if it were me starting this thread.

Stay strong, fight the cancer, and maybe in a couple of years you'll have the opportunity to buy back your favorite CJ card from that set.

Hi all I'm still around They have me taking a new drug called Kaytruda - finished my third cycle (treatment) two weeks ago and thankfully it has little side effects.

I had a brain MRI yesterday and meeting with the radiation doc tomorrow to see how they are progressing and have a PET scan next week for the lung cancer.

*SOLD* I also found a 2008 Etopps Allen & Ginter Yankee Stadium Tribute 11 card set in my closet. If anyone would like I'd sell it for $80 which includes S&H.

Rich

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

So after having radiation done a second time on the two brain tumors* without positive results my doctors decided to reach out to MD Anderson to discuss other possible treatment options and they recommended a non invasive brain surgery option

So after a 3 month struggle with the insurance company (MD Anderson is out of network) I was finally able to met with the doctor and now will be in Houston for the week of Dec. 12th. to have the surgery.

If anyone is curious here is a link to the MD Anderson site that discusses the surgery and a podcast which goes into the procedure in more detail.

https://www.mdanderson.org/treatment...l-therapy.html

A big reason for this post is that I really want to help spread the news about this surgery as the news about it has not spread widely among the cancer community and it looks like it has broad positive implications for anyone with almost any type of brain cancer. So if you know anyone who is dealing with brain tumor issues please pass this information along and/or have them contact me at focusinvestor at yahoo dot com.

Thanks again all!

I have been blessed to be a part of a miracle and pray that God continues to keep one going in your life! You are a warrior and will have a true testimony to leave others. May God give you healing and peace Rich.

It sounds like you are getting the best medical care possible in a top notch place. Best wishes coming your way from New Jersey. I'd say be strong and fight the good fight but you already sound a lot stronger than I'd think I'd ever be. Please keep us all informed.

I am new to net54 and just read this thread from the beginning. First, I am so sorry this has happened and will pray strongly for you, your family, and loved ones. It looks like you have beat the odds to date and I am betting that will continue. May God grant strength and wisdom to those treating you and may the results of your upcoming surgery be totally positive in every respect. Tale care and God Bless!

Jim

Hi Rich, God bless you. We've never interacted, but that doesn't stop people from being touched. Having two daughters myself, well, we all can feel some type of connection to your story.

Keep up the positive attitude, and the news. Incredible story, as there are too few of those in the world relative to the diagnosis.

Best of luck.

Rich-

We have not had occasion to either meet or do business here on the forum...and I feel that is my loss.

Net54 has been a safe haven of sorts for a lot of us.

Tell 'em to let you take the Cracker Jacks with you!

Godspeed young man

-Raymond
