Default Sliced off T202's - worth anything?

Posted By: Trae R.

Well, are they? Thank you

[edited: I know they're worth something... how much is the more appropriate question I suppose.]

Default Sliced off T202's - worth anything?

Posted By: Scott Mosley

Hi Trae,

While not worth a lot, I had one (a Titus) that was part of a display of cards which I recently purchased.

I put it on eBay specifically listed as an end panel from a T202 and it brought 3-4 dollars.

Its not much but there are people who collect just the end panels and will pay in that range for them and probably more depending on who is on the card.

Scott

Scott,
Should have known already but now I know who won the Titus display from the Verkman auction. Congrats...nice cards and nice premium...glad to see it go to another Phillie collector--sorry I ran the price up

most end panels can be had for $1 or less each in groups, but people are paying stupid prices for the Cobb. I've tracked it in a while, but about 6 months ago, it was going for $150 or more in nice shape. I have a number of these as fillers in player set. I'm always looking for more if they are cheap.

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Not to take over this thread but since the main question has been answered, I thought I'd respond and thank you.

Don't worry about running up the price, I still think I got the display at a reasonable price.

My main interest was the E270 Red Border Colgans and the 1906 Team Photo. I pulled most of the items out of the display and have replaced them with a few others.

Here is a before and after of what the display looks like now...

Scott,
The display is nice. I loved the Titus one just because he had a great 'stache...

Your new display is wonderful.

I too was mostly interested in the Premium Photo, the red border and a few of the silks.

I forgot the Joe Wood panel gets good money too since a lot people pick it up to add to their t205 since he didn't have a card in the set.
