Default Ruth/Gehrig ball

So this just sold on ebay after being listed for acouple minutes. Isn't $1,790 a steal for this ball?

Nevermind seller stated error in the price

I was the one who bought it. I think I saw it only a few minutes after listing. Would have been a heck of a deal at that price, but yes they canceled the transaction.

Yes, it was by far the fastest purchase I have made, and paid instantly of course. Curious to see whether he relists it for a much higher price, and it truly was a pricing error, or if someone perhaps contacted him offline after I purchased it and made a higher offer.

I always have a hard time believing people made a pricing error. Sure it could happen, but don't they look at their listing details before they actually list it? My guess is that they received a message from another Ebayer telling them they would pay much more. I bet he re-lists it for more money.

I kind of have my doubts as well. He did say that he had intended to list it for $17,950 and he left off a digit, but I have yet to see it relisted for that amount. That price is so astonomically high for it that it's almost not believable, but people do put some high prices on items. Needless to say, I was disappointed, not just because I wanted a great deal on the ball, but because I liked the ball as well. I do spend a lot of time searching new listings on ebay, and of course this isn't the first time this has happened, hence my suspicions.

I bet someone sent him a message to buy it for more.
