Default Federal League Cards

Posted By: Matt

Hello,

Long time lurker here. I've really learned a lot these past few months reading everyone's posts.

Besides trying to complete a T206 set (about 25% complete now after a year) I am also attempting to collect all the cards issued for the Federal League.

I know that the Cracker Jack series E145, E106, T213, T216 and D303 all have cards of Federal League players. Are there any more I'm missing? Does anyone have a checklist?

Also does any one else collect Federal League memorabilia. I'm particularly interested in the Chicago Feds/Whales.

Thanks for your help.

I believe Cracker Jacks are the only issue that show players in Federal League uniforms. I did pick up a Chicago Whales tshirt today on ebay, does anyone know if anyone sells the caps?

Bruce-

Do you mean the Okkonen SABR book? I do have that.

Wow - you have a Victor ball - do you have any scans? I have been looking for one for a while.

I don't recall seeing one for sale for a long time

-Matt

Bruce, I would love to see a photo of the Victor ball in the box....Never seen a box for that ball.

Here is a photo of a Federal League ball that sold in Lelands last year. IIRC it sold for about $6,000 and it was without the box.

I believe that Bob MCcann auctioned a Federal League Ball with box a few years ago. He also had a Victor bat called the Federal League Special. Here's my lone Fed League item.

Now doesn't Federal League Park look well for its age today as Wrigley Field? I think so. We know that Wrigley and Fenway can't last forever... maybe they'll outlive me so I won't morn their passing.

1914 Baltimore News has a Federal League Set, it houses the very rare Guy Zinn card.
