Default Vintage "stuff" in the News

Posted By: runscott

Great news just in! Ted Williams' daughter has given up the battle over her Father's body, so it will stay in cryogenic storage.

We can look forward to a Matt Groenig t.v. special featuring Ted Williams' life - past, present...and future! <== obscure reference to "Futurama" featuring talking celebrity heads under glass.

The Pete Rose discussions: big meetings taking place!

Selig's last futile attempt to salvage his Commissionership legacy won't work. My understanding is that as a compromise, a special section for "fallen stars" will be added to the HOF, featuring initial inductees Joe Jackson, Rose, Hal Chase.

But talks stalled when Selig demanded that Cobb, Speaker, Mays and Mantle be moved to his new "Selig Section" of the hall. As usual, 19th century star gamblers won't even be included on the ballot!?!
