Default 1954 Bowman Card 222 Memo Luna

Screen shot 2018-05-20 at 1.29.45 PM.jpg

I was always interested in who Memo Luna was on card 222 of the '54 Bowman set, and over the years I kept an ever growing file on this one-game wonder who managed to get his own baseball card. Last week I finally wrote the story of Memo Luna, the first Mexican-born southpaw in the majors

Great article - thanks for the insight.

That card always stuck out from the rest of the set, almost like a Sid Finch card stuck into a Topps set.

Now, we know the rest of the story...

Thanks for the nice words about my story, and most of all, thanks for posting a copy of the card. I was trying to find my copy but I must have shuffled it somewhere when I was putting everything back in my Memo Luna file after I was done writing it.

Thanks for posting. I've had his card signed for a while. And new he was an obscure player. It's great to know the story behind his career and life.
