Default Tim McCarver wins Frick Award

Tim McCarver has been selected as the recipient of the Ford Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting. Very funny or very sad depending on whether this award is taken seriously.

Default McCarver

I know McCarver has a lot of haters on Net54, but I have always enjoyed him. Keep in mind that a lot of viewers (especially at playoff time) are not so "expert" as many in this room are on baseball. It's hard to balance Baseball 101 and Masters Degree Advanced Baseball to the same audience.

Default have listened

I have listened and whomever said he is master of the obvious is correct. He doesn't bother me as much as some other people that are on TV though...
