Help with Identifying stadium

Update: I changed the title as thanks to a couple of private messages I can definitely rule out League Park in Cleveland. I really appreciate any help folks can provide and thanks again for the pms.

I recently acquired the two photos scanned below. Someone wrote Cleveland on the back of the photos. Is this Cleveland's League Park? I conducted a few rudimentary online searches but did not find similar angles to confirm that it is League Park. Also, does anyone have a better idea of the approximate year? I am guessing 1910 or before but I am not sure. I scanned it at 600 DPI which is why the files are so large. The photos themselves are smaller than typical baseball cabinet photos.

Don't want this thread to drop off the radar. I spent a half-hour or so the other night googling pre-1910 American League stadium images in the hope of finding a match. League Park had a number of different incarnations but nothing I saw looked like these photos. I even tried American Association stadiums. No luck. The cupola, or whatever that thing above the firstbase grandstand is called, plus the church spires beyond the outfield remind me of the background on a lot of T206s plus a lot of Obaks too. You feel like you've seen this ballpark before. I gotta believe that somebody here will recognize it. I'd sure like to know.

Thanks David! I have gotten a few private messages and I think that League Park can definitively be ruled out. I too feel I recognize this from somewhere. I did a search on the Big Four advertising sign in one of the pictures. The sign shows Toledo and Detroit, but the Big Four was a railroad that stopped in pretty much every city in the area (Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Toledo and more). I really appreciate any help folks can provide. If needed, I can scan it at a higher DPM but I am not sure if that will make the signs any clearer.

My first thought was Cincinnati as well. Check out the building on the far right of this late 30s shot and compare it to the building above ...

Klein's Beer - Absolutely Pure was the slogan of the FG Klein Co. of Burlington, WI. Not sure that helps much but it is on the outfield wall. What I read says their sales "agency" was located in Chicago.

Thanks guys! I will investigate Cincinnati as I do see the resemblance. Jeff, I will also check out the Klein's beer sign to see if anything in Chicago or Wisconsin might be a match if Cincinnati does not pan out. I really appreciate all the help.

I don't know the history of the evolution of the Palace of the Fans in Cincinnati but here are the two side by side. Sure looks very similar but before they put the upper deck in on the right. The colums of the first base side structure look the same.

Here is Palace of the Fans in Cincinnati and here are the two side by side. Sure looks very similar but Palace of the Fans opened in 1902 and had corinthian columns like the postcard and an upper deck.



The stadium prior to that was League Park in Cincinnati. Looks like this might be the one. 1884-1901. League park burned down which then was replaced by the ornate Palace of the Fans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_...8Cincinnati%29

I think that Cincinnati is correct. Here are a couple of photos of League Park (Cincinnati) from the 1880's (top) and 1900 (bottom 2, before and after the fire):
