Default Good Moments at Sporting Events

Tonight I saw Roseannne (sp?) Barr on some show and it made me think of not only her singing the National Anthem, but also of the little girl singing at the NBA game who forgot the words and Mo Cheeks stepping in to help her finish it.

Other good moments (not Ms. Barr singing) came to mind such as:

The opposing softball team carrying the girl, who just hit a home run and hurt her knee, around the bases

Lou Gehrig's famous speech.....

The Yankees World Series game after 9/11

Any others?

Ted Williams in a wheelchair at the All-Star Game, I think it was 1999, being surrounded and greeted by all the current players. That one stands out for me.

A recent event, would be the Giants tipping their caps towards Bobby Cox in the dugout after they had just won the playoff series against the Braves. It was, of course, Bobby Cox's last game.
