Dan, I was having similar issues and found an app for iPad/iPhone named "Image Size". It's free for basic resizing and it is easy to work with for posting pics on Net54.

Just an upgrade. Not mint, but I like the centering and condition compared to my previous, much rougher looking copy.

That's an amazing 4. Why'd it grade so low?

Thanks, guys! There is a scuff above the “e” at the end of the signature that kind of blends in with the crowd. I’d be very happy to have a collection full of 4s in this vein.

Beautiful card!

The 56 Mantle is my biggest hobby regret to date. I was offered the same card in a PSA 4 but procrastinated way too long so the seller, who was specifically holding it for me, sold it.
I don't blame him one bit but I was trying to justify the cost, $475 U.S., whether I should spend that on more 52's.

I've wanted this one for a while. I actually bought an SGC 3 a week before I won this one. (Shameless plug: That SGC 3 is now up for auction on the net54 front page) Then this one showed up, and the price was right.

Fantastic Mays!

Dale, I sat on the sidelines for a ‘56 Mantle for a long time too. It always seems both relatively available and irritatingly overpriced.

Been away for a long while, dealing with some tough, tough things, so it's so nice to finally be back home to find this black and white cardboard gold waiting for me...

1971toppsgreatestmomentscarty1967laughlinfeller2.jpg

The 1971 Topps Greatest Moments #3 Rico Carty is in really sweet shape, way above the grade. I believe the number on the slab indicates it was graded recently, so the (off) centering was probably factored into the grade. 'Normally' it would've gotten either a PSA 7 or 8 OC. There have only been fifty something of these cards graded overall, so I'm psyched to have it.

The 1967 Laughlin World Series #45 Bob Feller (with address on back) is a great card, but it fills me with melancholy since it memorializes a losing effort by the HOF hurler. Oh well.

I picked up my first Topps Greatest Moments from the B/S/T board. I've always liked the Gibson in this set.

This is the first really big baseball pickup I've had in many months. I was able to trade up from my 2.5 (with heavy roller marks) into this relatively clean 4 with *slightly* better centering. It cost me a lot in trade, but I am able to enjoy the card 10x more now.

I am now on the highway to the poorhouse, but, man, did I pick up some good stuff today at a large show in Northern California where masks weren't required. It felt incredible breathing in the freedom after so long (if your idea of 'freedom' is the musty smell of hundreds of overweight guys mixed in with stale mall air), so I went on a spending spree. It seemed most of the graded stuff (usually PSA 3s and 4s) was priced so far into the ionosphere it would give Captain Kirk a nosebleed, so I focused on serious ungraded cards and was able to strike some pretty decent deals. The pair of Benches are particularly beautiful, and the 1971 Reggie, Pete Rose and Thurman Munson are seriously stunning in hand (large scans always make 'em look worse). Holy crap am I psyched!!!

And also grabbed up a trio of sharp-cornered 1966/1967 high numbers...

I've always been intrigued when I hear of ML players who collect (or collected ) cards. Even more when it's a star, even still more when it's a HOFer collecting another HOFer.

Gary Carter played 17 games against Tom Seaver. 7Wins-10Losses

9 for 60 with one homer, 4 RBIs and a stolen base.

They were All-Star teammates in '75 & '81, but never battery mates.

I had to get this one - arriving today:

Finally finished the 33 set.

These where the last 2 pieces. Thank you boardmember MrReality68 for helping me secure 160 Gehrig. This card has been a tough one for me.

The 149 Ruth was my 1st Goudey purchased, which I sold to get the 53 Ruth. Wasn't planned this way, but it's fitting that it was the last card to complete the set. 20211124_113215.jpg

Default Found this super Spahn at the Moeller Show in Cincy this weekend...

It was drowning in a case with shiny modern refractors, so I jumped in and saved it

That's a beautiful card. I've never seen the Laughlin cards before. I'm still relatively new to actively collecting vintage. It's going on my want list. lol.

Thanks!
