Default M101-5 (Exist or not)

The Standard Cat says for the M101-5:

Though listed in catalogs for more then 25 years, it is now believed M101-5 cards with the sporting news backs do not exist

Is this true or an error and how can the have a card listed as existing for 25 years that dies not exist???

There are many cards in the standard catalog that Lemke has checklisted and even priced that don't exist. Not sure how you choose a price for a non-existent card, but it happens.

M101-5's with "The Sporting News" printed on back is what the non exist means. Sporting News cards are only found with the M101-4 checklist. There are M101-5's with many other backs (ie. Standard Biscuit, Famous-Barr, Morehouse, etc.).

Stand in line

I understand that Frank will be up and running around the first of the year. For now, I'll let him get his holiday rest.

Both my brother and I are away from my collection at this moment and he needs to help me work out my new website and email system. He designed it and ran it for me while I was out of town these last 6 months. I havent opened any new emails for a few weeks, it wont be until I go back up to my families home this Christmas that I can get to any questions or orders. I will answer all of them in the order I received them. Sorry for the long delay. Frank
