My '37 Feller OPC Rookie. One card I wanted the most and finally obtained about 3 years ago. 2nd would be the Nolan Ryan RC my dad bought for me in '88 - Now an SGC 70 (special value). Green Cobb T206 (Sov150 back) would be 3rd.

Default value aside

Value aside as it's not as valuable as others, and because I am a type card collector, this one might be it.....

I don't know that I'd call these holy grails exactly but:

I'd been looking to add a card like this to my collection for the better part of a decade. I'd long wanted a Satchel Paige signed card but I wanted one that dated from his MLB days and ideally was signed while he was active. I finally got a 1953 postally used Paige signed Browns team issue PC.

Likewise I'd been looking for years for a good Connery signed item when this came up:

This card was a big deal for me for a very card-nerd reason: it proved definitively that the PC back cards were Exhibit issues due to the coupon on the card back:

Default Not the most expensive, but my favorites.

Ott Waner.jpg

hard to put a value on these 2 '39 PB's... Im fairly certain the Ott is the only signed example of a '39 and Waner just didnt sign much at all...

I wish someone hadn't written the names at the bottom, but otherwise these 2 probably combin e to be my most prized.

Really cool you still own this heirloom from your dad. That is the cleanest best looking 3 52' Mantle I have ever seen. If it weren't for the protection the case provides, I would remove it and make it raw again. (That grade is a slap in The Mick's face)

I have always wanted this card when I was pulling the reprints out of 1989
Bowman packs. Now I have a real one with zero plans of ever parting with it.

Not my "holy grail" per se as it's existence was unknown until somewhat recently...but probably my most unique card.

Default Iconic Ruth Card

Would you believe this classic Ruth card, graded PSA-3, wound up costing me $10 total about a year and a half ago? I have been on the wrong end of a few high-risk, high reward transactions and once when I got ripped off by an eBay seller, eBay not only refunded me through a PayPal reversal, they also gave me a merchandise credit in the amount of $1000 for anything sold on eBay. This card later came up as a Buy-It-Now listing for the price of exactly $1000 and $10 for insured shipping. So I contacted eBay to verify that the voucher wasn't a scam, and jumped on this Ruth card, applied the voucher, and paid only $10 total (the shipping fee). I am a very happy camper!

I don't consider this my holy grail. My 62 Fleer Jack Kemp is my grail as I spent 7 years looking for a centered example. But here is my pre war holy grail.

My holy grail is my T215 Red Cross Purtell. This knocked a nice card off my Jersey City wantlist that I really never thought I would find in my price range.

Thanks,
