Default 1911 Addie Joss Day postcard.....

Quite an interesting postcard Addie Joss Day postcard. This one had several bidders over $3000.. Anyone seen any others of these? I was watching it and didn't know how much over the 1500 opener it would bring. Seems like a pretty strong price but what a great postcard..

Love that Cobb is in a Cleveland uniform. What a unique PC, congrats to the winner!

Never seen it, but I have a huge matt-finish panorama that I think is the same as the bottom photo - it's a modern, numbered piece.

Also, just received a stack of early BBall Magazines, and one is a tribute to Joss, so has several similar pics.

Killer piece. Joe Wood, SPeaker, Cobb, Wajo, Hal Chase, Sam Crawford, Frank Baker, Nap, Cy, Eddie Collins. Hard to imagine a more star-studded postcard.

I've seen a couple other sell over the years. Or, they could've been the same example. This one sold cheaper than past sales.

Ditto --- I was wondering as this was shooting up in value what the most expensive baseball PC might be.

Anything more expensive than a c1907-1910 Weiser Wonder WaJo? Now that I think about it more, it would probably be one of the one-of-a-kind PCs of Josh Gibson or Judy Johnson...but this one certainly ranks up there w/ all that talent on one card (+ a Joe Jackson)!!

yes, but that also had the benefit of being autographed. I wonder what the highest price paid for a non-auto postcard ever is?

This has to be up there...

I know some Negro League rppc's brought some big prices in Hake's over the last few years too.

I think if the 1907 Victor Mills postcard w/Joe Jackson came up for auction again now, it would be in the $20K ballpark.
