Default Landed a white whale on the BST!

A few days ago, my phone started buzzing. I checked it and saw I had two new PMs from Net54. I thought it was odd since I wasn't bidding on or selling anything. I logged on to the site and saw that both messages had the word Coakley in the title. My heart skipped a beat.

Andy Coakley was a pitcher winding up his career with the Cubs and was a member of the 1908 World Series winners. He was the only player on the roster who had a card issued that I didn't have a copy of. The only thing that I could find for him that wasn't a postcard was from the T204 set. Not exactly a plentiful issue. Each day I searched for a Coakley, never making a connection.

I opened the messages to see that two board members had seen the card on the BST and remembered from my signature that I was looking for a copy. They graciously alerted me to its presence within a half hour of the posting and within hours a bargain was struck. It arrived today, and it's my new favorite card!

Behold the glory that is Andy Coakley! Long live this community!
