Default What is an Old Judge Re-issue ??

not to take away from the last couple days dramatic and sometimes funny posts, but I have a baseball card question. I was in my local card shop buying supplies and started talking to another collector who was there about cards. We eventually got to talking about vintage cards amnd memorabilia. He mentioned that he once owned some Old judge cards that were re-issues. I had never heard of these before. Was he BS-ing me ?

I think Larry Fritsch reprinted some Old Judges among all his other reprint sets.

Goodwin used some poses for several years, often altering the cropping and the copyright information, and if necessary updating the position and team. I guess you could call these reissues, but I never heard the term used that way before.

My guess is the guy didn't know what he was talking, he was BSing you and/or he was talking about reprints. My more specific guess is he was referring to reprints.
