Does anybody have a feel for the E125 market? I'm trying to get an idea of what they can go for
without any missing pieces. I'm searching for a Topsy Hartsel example.

I have a feeling we will be finding out today since there are quite a few, if not the most I have ever seen being sold at one time, in the REA auction. From recent experience a common in vg would be about $900-$1100....give or take a little...Who knows what they will go for today. Should be interesting...

I must respectfully disagree with our great leader and say that the e125's, although seemingly in abundance, are grossly undervalued. Guy's going after the set are passionate and understand the extreme scarcity associated with many of the cards.

After going through some previous sales and auctions it looks like I was mistaking. There was a group of about 8 commons, all the same, that had gone for $900-$1100 ea, about 1-2 years ago, individually on ebay.....but they were all the same player and I had bought and sold a few of those. I know I sold one to a current board member. The most recent data suggests closer to $2000-$3000 each for commons. I didn't intentionally mean to mislead anyone. Contrary to what a few believe I don't do that. Also, since I have one, I will not personally be bidding on this group (unless I can pick a few up for a good price ), nor are they my consignments. I wish everyone good luck in the auction.....

It's brutal out there...I guess some of you found the E92 Croft's Candy with the red back buried in one of the Carter lots. Two of us tried to snag the group but we weren't even close. I'm not overly optimistic tonight either.

Leon - I believe a common in an SGC 40 holder recently changed hands for $1000. I think your initial estimate was correct.

It is my understanding that there are a group of cards in E125 that are more prevelent than others. The scarce ones are really scarce and some of the commons are seen fairly often. I guess you could relate them to the Tango's or Mello Mints in that respect. A few pop up all of the time and some are impossible... Thanks for the corroboration though....I feel a tiny bit vindicated....

My best cost would be 0. I have been fortunate to buy many larger lots in the past (not E125's but cards in general) and by the time I had the one(s) I wanted that were leftover they were free....Kind of hard to beat that !!!
