Default SGC vs. Beckett... Feedback Requested

Hello. Got a very prominent card currently sitting in a GAI 7 holder (unfortunately). I plan on flipping it into a different company's holder and am not too sure I want to deal with PSA and the 6-8 month waiting period. So... It would help me very much to get some feedback. Probably will submit to either SGC or Beckett. Can you guys give me your opinions? Why would I want to pick one over the other &/or why would I want to avoid one over the other. I like the Beckett holder better but don't recall seeing too many prominent cards in Beckett holders. I've seen plenty in SGC holders. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Can you post pictures of it? One thing that always comes up is qualifiers, and how PSA uses them and others don't, so it may come into play with your coming decision.

Really depends on the year of the card. Super modern Beckett and anything else SGC for resale value. Best of luck on the slab swap.

I actually like BVG's slabs and think they do a decent job for what and who they are, but if it's a big card and value is a concern at all - my advice would be to go with SGC or PSA and avoid Beckett.

They simply aren't taken seriously as a vintage grader, at least by the side of the hobby that is concerned with money. BVG grades a lot like I feel we used to back in the 80's and 90's before everyone was putting a loupe on everything. They actually do ok I think in comparison with higher grade cards, but with midgrade and lower, Beckett starts to lose the script. A BVG 4 will usually be about a PSA 2-3. They aren't nearly as bothered by things like hairline creases, ugly print defects, etc. as the other two major graders are, and unfortunately that affects reputation as well as value.

I'm an SGC fan all day long.

I agree with John. SGC is a much stricter grader than Beckett.
