Default Vintage Negro Baseball Poster

To the experts out there, or anyone with 2 cents, how can u tell the difference between a real vintage poster and a repro/fake?

For example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Negro-Am...item56405690fb

Real or Fake?

And what do u look for in determining? Thanks

First, I look at what state the seller is from. Indiana is close to Ohio. I have no idea how to tell about this poster.

As soon as an auction description says the item is being sold as a reproduction, you know it's fake.

Posters of this era usually hung outside. There shoudl be staining from rain/inclement weather all over, but on the back at least. This poster is way too clean all over, and the back is scarcely weathered. These posters were usually hung by staple or nail, so the real ones have holes in the corners or top center. (May have been taped up in some locations, but then tears from the tape removal, or tape residue, or something similar, would remain on the poster board.) Next, check eBay or other sites to see if a poster (or more than one) with this exact image has sold before. What are the odds that more than one survived at all, much less in such great shape as this one is, given how they were used.... just some thoughts....
