Default Brockelman & Luckey Auction Preview- 3rd auction

Posted By: leon

Our auction is open for preview. We are still adding some descriptions and working on a few reserves with consignors....so anything could change but it is probably fairly well set the way it is...again, other than a few scans being added/updated (a few are a little bit dark)...and reserves could change, the auction is set. Boxing, football and miscellaneous things are near the end.....

starting lineup? That must be in the next generation ....

This auction is a bit smaller than the last one but has some nice collector cards. There has been a fair amount of interest in the Sid Luckman signed '55 Tops All American card.....so we shall see. Good luck to any and all....

Some of the low opening bid lots will have reserves but we are working on making some of the reserves lower. We want everything to sell but we also need to protect our consignors, especially in this day and age. We have debated reserves many times but we feel they are more needed today than they were a year or two ago. I have seen some folks really take a bath on ebay lately......

Leon,

http://www.b-lauctions.com/site/bid/bidplace.asp?itemid=5667&getauctionid=75 is a 1910 Obak. The title says 1909. Nice group of 1909s you have offered...

Best of luck on your auction.

Brian

There won't be too many reserves, even on the $99 opening cards. If there is a reserve, the reserve amount will be known from day one. Less than 10% of all lots will have reserves, I believe.....

Leon,

When you say "known," do you mean posted within the auction description? (As opposed to the reserve just being determined and set but not announced.)

Thanks.

Yes, if there is a reserve then it will be at the bottom of the description. For instance I know some of the High End Colgans have reserves. It will say something like Reserve is $1700 hammer price. We might change the reserves the first day to line up with a bidding increment,.... but again, the reserve will be known. I hate shooting at hidden reserves when I am bidding.....regards

Thanks, Leon.

My only advice is to make sure you have all your bank accounts sorted out and in place.

Good luck.

To our friendly consignors- you can count on getting paid in about 2 weeks again.
