Yes thats nice, looks game used and with the inscription I would guess its a Steiner ball.

Really? I'm surprised. Don't see many unauthenticated game used AND inscribed Jeter balls.

Lately I have seen a handful of Jeter sweet spot signed balls with "the Captain" and other inscriptions on eBay. They appear to be authentic, but it is odd they did not have Steiner certification. (Some had PSA.)

Sadly, it is unusual to see SS signed with an inscription that is not Steiner. They must have been signed for a friend or some insider. There is no way he is signing like that for someone on the street.

I was told by the seller that he signed it at some charity event but I was not sure if I should believe him.
