Default Show us your magazine covers...

I received this one a few days ago and think it may be my new favorite cover, but let's see some others.

Default Mag Cover...

Not quite a Magazine, but this score book is about 30 pages, and when I look through it, there are articles, info, advertisements, so to me it is more magazine than score book (in the traditional sense). I have many score books that are cardboard 2-6 pages. This one is different, like a magazine !

Barry, I have tried to research it without making much headway.

The Negro League Museum in KC didn't know anything about it, but asked me to send them a copy.

There is one other copy of this issue (Vol. 1, No. 2) in the Ed. Bolden papers, archived at Howard University. I could find it in a list on their web site, but it isn't pictured.

I have never seen another copy, or even one of the first issue.

My dad picked this one up as a kid in NYC at a game and kept it for years. He liked the article on Satchel Paige.

Here's the link to the Howard University collection.

http://www.founders.howard.edu/moorl...rn/Colla-c.htm

Scroll down to the "Edward Bolden" section, and this same issue (October 1934) is listed. Anyone living nearby can make an appointment to see their archives.

(Or you can ask me to send you a copy.)

Thanks Jim. It's looks like a magazine that would be extremely rare. That stuff just wasn't saved.
