Default Chicago Cubs 8-8-88 "End of an Era" commemorative bat

I am trying to find out any information on a bat that I have. Ryne Sandberg autographed it for me in 2006 at a convention.

I believe these bats were supposed to be sold on the original night of the game on 8-8-88 but due to the storms the game was played on 8-9-88 and a majority of the bats went unsold.

Not sure if this has value or not.

Thanks!

I attended the game on 8.8.88 - it rained out after a couple innings. Ryno hit the first night game home run at Wrigley, but since the game was cancelled, the homer didn't count. One funny memory of that night was that Greg Maddox and a couple of other players ran around on the tarp and did a few sliding belly flops.

Awesome bat with a key signature and great background story. I have no idea what it’s worth but It harkens fond memories of Chicago pubs of yore that used to display these kinds of items.
