Default Appraisal dilemma...

I'm sire this has been covered before but here goes. I'm getting ready to insure my collection through Collectibles Insurance Services and I'm trying to self appraise the collection. I've been using 2 pricing resources so far. SCD 2011 Standard Catalog and the SMR on line. Which is considered more accurate? Thanks in advance!

Are they graded? If so, a pricing service like VCP would be more reflective of the market. For scarcer cards, catalogues from houses like Legendary, etc. would provide good info. The two "guides" you referenced are just that -- guides, and are not necessarily accurate at all on many cards.
