Default T206 Providence Grays

I've had a T206 Jimmy Lavender for a couple of years and I love it. Recently I decided to tackle the team set and the first 2 cards arrived today. I'm first tackling the basic set (1 of each player) before I take on all the back variations.

Good luck. I started the same way on my Providence set - got one of each player and then a few years later decided to get some other backs.

Eight, all in the 350 series.

I took a look at my spreadsheet of front/back combos and came up with the following counts. No guarantees on 100% accuracy but this should be close.

8 - The number of unique Providence players in the T206 set.
Anderson (11 different backs)
Arndt (7 backs)
Blackburne (11 backs)
Hoffman (9 backs)
Lavender (12 backs)
Moran (7 backs)
Phelan (7 backs)
Shaw (8 backs)

13 - The number of unique backs possible for the 8 different players.
American Beauty 350 w/frame (all 8)
Broadleaf 350 (6 of 8)
Carolina Brights (4 of 8)
Cycle 350 (6 of 8)
Drum (2 of 8)
EPDG (3 of 8)
Old Mill (4 of 8)
Piedmont 350 (all 8)
Polar Bear (5 of 8)
Sovereign 350 (all 8)
Sweet Cap 350/25 (7 of 8)
Sweet Cap 350/30 (all 8)
Tolstoi (3 of 8)

72 - The number of front/back combinations required for a master Providence set.

I'll have to check more when I get home, but when I made my checklists from what T206 Resource's Searchable Database shows as confirmed, I came up with 80 player/back combos.

These are the ones that I have different:
Broadleaf 350 (8 of 8)
Cycle 350 (8 of 8)
EPDG (5 of 8)
Sweet Cap 350/25 (8 of 8)
Tolstoi (4 of 8)

I like your number of 72 rather than my 80.

My lists may be off. I compiled TedZan's lists several years ago and have not kept up with new findings. But for anybody who wants to take on a master set if these I hope my count of the broadleafs is correct and not the 8/8 on your list.

Whether the Number is 72 or 80, it is achievable and since there are no UZIT, LENOX or HINDU backs it might even be affordable.

No Hindu either.

Ted's lists have been updated, so I think the 80 number is good for now. Not counting the fourteen BL, CB, and Drum backs leaves a more realistic target total of 66 (or 58 if I don't try for both SC backs)
