Default type collectors, back collectors

A question for those of you who think of yourselves as type collectors. Do you consider, for example, T207 a type for your checklist, or does your type collecting also include back collecting, so you'd need a Recruit, a Napoleon, a Red Cross, etc. rather than just a single T207?

I think it would be very easy to get off with water and a Q tip but have just left it....Not that big of a deal to me.

I'm 100% with Leon on this. Every back is a different type.

You know, something I think would be fun, and I am not implying they add value to the card...would be to do a T206 backstamp thread...I am always amazed at the variety of backstamps I have found, some just names, some very ornate...it would be cool to have a depository and record of how people defaced their cards.

I actually have a website dedicated to this very thing. I have been collecting images of different backstamps for a while now and ask that any collector contribute with images if you can.

Check it out here: The Great T206 Backstamp Project

If you have any T206's with backstamps please send me scans and I'll add them to the project.

Thanks a lot,

AndyH
