Default What football piece is number one on your want list?

Hello,

I was just wondering, what football piece is No. 1 on your want list? Or what would be considered your "dream piece?"

Hi Chris---

I guess for me it would be to find a #144 Bowman Large Lansford in an SGC NRMT 7 or better to upgrade my set.

Mayo Dunlop would be my #1. I just closed my Heritage account though, I didnt have very good experiences there, outside of navigating that ridiculous website.

Mine is not a card but would love to have a near mint program from any of the first four Super Bowl's when it was truly AFL vs. NFL.

#1 on my list would probably be an Executioners-Style leather football helmet. Similar to the one below (from a past Robert Edward Auction).

For right now, my football collection primarily consists of Heisman Winners and HOF rookie cards, with the Heisman rookies being the main one I'm currently focusing on. So I guess #1 on my want-list would have to be a tie between the '72 Staubach and '57 Hornung, since they should be the most costly for me, even in lower-mid grades..

Also as a Browns fan, I've always wanted the '58 Topps Jim Brown rookie, and the '55 Topps AA Jim Thorpe(I've always liked it more than the '33 goudey, but would be fine with that card as well), given that he played the majority of his professional career in North-east Ohio. Those two are probably the cards I "want" the most, but don't really "need" to have.

1960 Fleer Jack Kemp PSA 8 for < $125.

That's in-line with recent VCP sales. 1 or 2 a year show up as a real auction on eBay (not BINs). Only saw 1 this year and it happened while I was on vacation to Florida. I know what I want to pay and I'm willing to wait.
